The Tamegroute pottery owes its name to the village of the same name in the south of Morocco. The pottery is made by hand by artisans and the craft is passed on from generation to generation. The glaze consists of silicon, manganese and copper, which provides the characteristic green color. The pieces are stacked in ovens, which creates imperfections that make the product so unique. Each piece is therefore a unique item, where the imperfections provide an authentic wabi sabi character.
